According to Pye-Barker, the acquisition supports its growth in delivering code-compliant life safety services throughout the East Coast of the United States.
Fire Protection Equipment Company supplies extinguishers, alarms, sprinklers and suppression systems and has longstanding customer relationships across both states.
The business was founded in 1926 by Thomas J. Leahey, a deputy fire safety marshal and volunteer firefighter, and is currently run by third-generation family member Bob Leahey.
It is also the exclusive regional distributor for the MSA G1 self-contained breathing apparatus, used by fire crews in emergency response.
Acquisition retains local service continuity
Pye-Barker confirmed that Fire Protection Equipment Company’s existing staff and technicians will continue to operate under the same service model.
