Rescue Intellitech has announced the launch of its DE Series washing machines designed to decontaminate firefighter protective clothing.
According to Rescue Intellitech, the machines will be unveiled at the Emergency Services Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 17-18 September 2025.
The company said the DE Series adds to its existing Solo Rescue and DeconWasher Pro S equipment already in use at fire stations across the UK.
It explained that while its earlier machines focused on cleaning helmets, gloves, boots and breathing apparatus, the new models enable protective garments to be decontaminated on-site.
Rescue Intellitech added that this development means fire stations can now combine washing machines with specialist PPE drying cabinets to create a complete station-based decontamination process.
Features of the DE Series
Rescue Intellitech reported that the DE Series washing machines are built for performance and flexibility.
The company said the machines offer 15 pre-programmed wash cycles, covering both heavy-duty textiles and delicate technical fabrics.
It explained that these settings are intended to ensure garments are cleaned effectively while protecting the integrity of PPE.
Rescue Intellitech indicated that preserving PPE condition supports both firefighter safety and the lifespan of equipment.
The manufacturer added that the machines are available in three models, the DE180 (180l), DE240 (240l) and DE280 (280l).
