Rosenbauer has presented its new FOX S portable fire pump at the FLORIAN trade fair in Dresden.

The company said the FOX S delivers 1,050 litres per minute at 10 bar, allowing a B-hose line to be supplied with 1,000 litres per minute over long distances.

Weighing 154 kilograms, the pump is compact and easier to handle and transport than the larger FOX model.

Rosenbauer confirmed that the FOX S completes its portable pump portfolio, joining the FOX, BEAVER and OTTER models.

Lightweight design with robust efficiency

According to Rosenbauer, the FOX S features a single-stage centrifugal pump developed specifically for this application.

Its impeller, designed with spatially curved blades and a light metal spiral housing, delivers high efficiency.

A stainless-steel pump shaft, lubricant-free mechanical seal and clamping ring design make the unit easy to maintain.

The company said the FOX S is operated at the push of a button and uses the Rosenbauer Logic Control System (RBC LCS) interface for user feedback and fault reporting.

Cavitation warning and inlet pressure monitoring protect the pump from damage during use.

The system also includes mechanical overheating protection that drains hot water above 60°C and allows cooler water to flow in.

Rosenbauer said the FOX S is powered by a two-cylinder BRP-Rotax in-line engine with electronic control.

The water-cooled engine is designed for use in both hot and cold climates.

A 20-litre fuel tank supports extended operation, and refuelling during use allows continuous pumping.

Rubberised, foldable handles enable safe carrying, and quick-fit wheels allow one-person transport.

Rosenbauer stated that the FOX S and the larger FOX share a unified operating concept, meeting performance standards across the PFPN 10-1000, 10-1500 and 10-2000 classes.

The FOX remains Rosenbauer’s most powerful portable pump, with a flow rate of 2,050 litres per minute at 10 bar and a suction lift of three metres.

The BEAVER model was also updated in 2025 with a new engine, redesigned controls and improved ergonomic handles.

The company said the BEAVER, weighing 133 kilograms, exceeds its PFPN 10-750 class requirements with an output of over 900 litres per minute.

At 58 kilograms, the OTTER serves as the lightweight entry-level model, providing easy handling and reliable water delivery in the field.

Availability and delivery timeline

Rosenbauer confirmed that the FOX S will be available to order from January 2026.
