It added that integrated audible and visual alarms provide alerts for occupants, while compatibility with advanced metering infrastructure allows integration into smart home systems.

Teledyne said the model uses progressive signal processing to detect concentrations as low as 10% of the lower explosive limit.

It noted that the detector operates with a 10+ year battery life, continuing to provide coverage during power outages.

Industrial monitoring with MethaSense XP

EU reporting obligations

Teledyne explained that under the EU Methane Regulation, operators must now submit annual reports on methane emissions from 5 August 2025.

The company said the regulation requires detailed source-level data and independent verification.

Teledyne Gas & Flame Detection (Teledyne GFD) has confirmed the establishment of a 699 m² manufacturing site in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

According to Teledyne GFD, the new site was created in partnership with Industrial Detection Solutions (IDS) to support local production of its gas detection technologies.

The facility will manufacture sensors for detecting toxic and combustible gases used at oil, gas, petrochemical and LNG facilities across the Middle East.

Teledyne GFD said the facility will produce its DM-700 toxic gas sensor and its FP-700 and IR-700 combustible gas sensors.

The company explained that relocating manufacturing to Saudi Arabia will improve supply chains by reducing delivery times and increasing regional accessibility.
