Hochiki Europe has expanded its online Training Academy with a free course covering the FIREbeam beam smoke detection range for large open-space application
Hochiki Europe has expanded its online Training Academy with the launch of a new course focused on its FIREbeam beam smoke detection range.
Available free of charge to registered users, the course is designed to help installers, specifiers and distributors develop their knowledge of beam smoke detection and gain confidence in specifying and installing FIREbeam systems for projects involving large, open spaces.
The course introduces both products in the FIREbeam range, including the addressable FIREbeam Xtra and the conventional FIREbeam Conex, alongside the accessories available across the portfolio. It also covers the fundamentals of beam smoke detection, which is commonly used in environments where point detection is impractical, such as warehouses, shopping centres, sports halls, museums, hotel atriums and transport terminals.
The new module forms part of the Hochiki Training Academy, a free online learning platform created for professionals working with Hochiki products, including installers, distributors, specifiers and facilities teams. Courses are completed online, allowing users to learn at their own pace from any location. Each course concludes with an assessment, with successful learners receiving certification.
According to Hochiki Europe, the Academy has grown to more than 2,000 users in just a few years and is now used by businesses across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Martin Green, Commercial Training and Support Manager at Hochiki Europe, said: “The FIREbeam course is another building block in the Academy library. Whether someone is new to our products or has worked with Hochiki for years, the Academy is there to support learning throughout their career, not just at the point of installation or specification.
“Because it is entirely self-paced and accessible from anywhere, our customers can build their knowledge in a way that fits around their own working day, no matter where they are based. If you have a project coming up with a large open space, whether that is a warehouse, an atrium or a sports hall, this course gives you a solid grounding in the FIREbeam range before you get started.”
The FIREbeam training course is available now through the Hochiki Training Academy.
