Launch of ResponseMesh NOW in the United States
ResponseMesh has announced the release of ResponseMesh NOW, a cellular and satellite connectivity service designed for public safety and emergency operations.
According to ResponseMesh, the platform combines an advanced eSIM service with hardware that can connect to the strongest available U.S. carrier or satellite link.
The company reported that the system eliminates the need for multiple contracts or SIM changes, providing a single solution that keeps responders connected in all environments.
ResponseMesh confirmed that the service has been developed for use by first responders, emergency managers, disaster relief teams, and utilities.
It added that the platform is now available to agencies seeking immediate field deployment.
Connectivity approach
ResponseMesh stated that its system differs from single-carrier solutions by combining multi-carrier cellular access with satellite integration.
The company explained that the service automatically switches to the most reliable signal, whether cellular or Starlink satellite, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity.
It said the system is portable and designed for rapid deployment in the field.
ResponseMesh added that the platform is intended to provide resilience during natural disasters, large-scale events, and remote operations.
Hardware configurations
The manufacturer outlined three versions of ResponseMesh NOW.
The ResponseMesh BOX is a portable hard case with a built-in battery, integrated router, and Starlink Mini satellite module.
The ResponseMesh CEL is a vehicle-mounted kit powered by 12V or 24V systems and equipped with a roof antenna for extended range.
The ResponseMesh SAT is another vehicle-mounted option that combines satellite and cellular systems within an IP67-rated enclosure.
The company said these configurations provide flexibility for agencies across field and fleet operations.
Security and cost considerations
ResponseMesh noted that the service includes enterprise-grade encryption and VPN functionality.
It explained that agencies can reduce costs by consolidating multiple contracts into a single plan.
The organisation added that this approach simplifies management while improving communications security.
Executive statement
Preston Miller, Chief of Staff at JHB Group Inc, said: “Connectivity should never be a barrier to saving lives.
“ResponseMesh NOW is a breakthrough that brings together multi-carrier cellular and satellite technology in one rugged, easy-to-deploy platform.
“At JHB Group, we’re proud to help bring this innovation forward, ensuring public safety agencies have the reliable communications they need when every second counts.”
Relevance for fire and safety professionals
ResponseMesh NOW is designed to support fire services and emergency teams by providing continuous communication in the field.
Agencies responsible for disaster response can use the platform to maintain links when standard cellular networks are unavailable.
The vehicle-mounted options are suitable for fire apparatus and ambulances, allowing responders to stay connected during operations.
The service may also help agencies consolidate communications contracts into a single system, reducing administrative and operational burdens.
